Ken Fernandez, originally from Rochester, New York, has made a significant impact as an international school leader and educator. His extensive experience includes pivotal roles in Guatemala, Nepal, and India, where he has shaped innovative educational practices. Ken’s career also encompasses teaching positions in the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Brazil, and the United States, reflecting his global perspective and commitment to educational excellence.
As a founding member of Building Walls of Wisdom, Ken has played a crucial role in establishing schools in underserved communities. This non-profit organization embodies his dedication to expanding educational access and highlights his belief in education as a powerful tool for social change.
In addition to his work with Building Walls of Wisdom,
Ken serves as a mentor for the Meliora Collective, where he provides guidance and support to aspiring educators aiming to enhance their teaching practices. His expertise in inquiry-based learning, service programs, and social-emotional learning is well-recognized, and he has contributed to numerous MSA, CIS, and NEASC accreditations and strategic planning teams.
